Sony Music Entertainment Canada has been a VLPR client for 17 consecutive years. VLPR handles the publicity around all catalogue releases, movie and television soundtracks, Broadway cast recordings and represents Sony’s illustrious classical and jazz artist roster. Our work includes album promotions, in market tour support, press conferences, broadcast media tours and directing overall media strategy.

Gordon Lightfoot
Victoria Lord’s representation of iconic Canadian folk singer Gordon Lightfoot began in 2009 and lasted 22 years until his death in May 2023. As his personal publicist, we oversaw national and international interest, offering tour support and contributing to campaigns around books, cd releases and documentaries about the legendary performer. We also served as the official media spokesperson for Gordon and his family. In addition, we created and managed Gordon Lightfoot’s first and only official Facebook page and continue to be a media conduit for the Lightfoot Estate which included publicity support of a recent tribute event held at Massey Hall in his honour.
Canadian Federation of Musicians
VLPR handles ongoing corporate and strategic communications, as well as media relations services, on all matters of concern to the Canadian Federation of Musicians (CFM), the leading professional organization representing over 17,000 Canadian musicians. CFM provides vital resources to Canadian musicians at all stages of their careers, on any platform, from live concert to recorded performance, broadcast and film scoring. Over the course of our 12-year tenure, we have delivered corporate and crisis communications support, media training for C-suite executives and represented the union to media on numerous matters representing the interests of professional musicians in a broad range of collective bargaining and legislative actions.
Starvox Exhibits
The Art of Banksy, the world’s largest collection of artworks from the anonymous Bristol-based artist returned to Toronto following a wildly success run in 2018. The major exhibition boasts over 1.5 million visitors in 15 cities across the globe and features a collection valued at over $35 million. VLPR was retained by live entertainment company, Starvox Exhibits, the visionary force behind the acclaimed, groundbreaking immersive experiences like "Immersive Van Gogh" and "Immersive Disney Animation” to publicize the run of the show and to drive sales through media and influencer relations. With only two-weeks notice, VLPR successfully mounted a press conference to announce the exhibition and followed with one of the company’s most successful opening events. Media coverage around the launch has been extensive with every local and national news network producing stories including Reuters News Wire, a video news story that has generated coverage around the globe.
